With Victorian charm and small town feel, Alameda has always held a special place in my heart. From antique stores to a Pinball Museum, this flat nabe is a town worth exploring and getting lost in. Park St. is part of the downtown area that is lined with consignment shops, cafes, pet shops, and great restaurants. You can ride your bike here and go for miles—with no hills! Walk your dog or take a break at and eat outside on a patio. Alameda is really affordable if you plan on renting. Homes here can get pricey, however, because of the Victorian history in most of them, but once you see how beautiful they are you’ll want one of your own to call home.
