Named for its numerous spacious ranch-style homes, Melshire Estates is a prestigious North Dallas nabe. Drive through the curvy streets and you’ll find sprawling houses built on generous lots. Even though the buzz from LBJ Freeway and the Dallas North Tollway can be heard in this nabe, it still retains a comfortable atmosphere. The old oak trees and perfectly manicured lawns offer a picture-perfect example of a Dallas suburb.

Melshire Estates, Dallas Reviews
Estates, without a doubt.
Melshire Estates is a hidden nabe of surprising affluence. The houses here are a 50/50 mix of postwar single-stories and massive newly built mini-mansions. Resultantly, the quiet streets of the area offer an approachable yet exclusive vibe.
The people here are more or less friendly…they seem to be your typical suburbanites.
Off the radar
This nabe is right smack in the middle of North Dallas, so the automatic assumption is that people here are pretty wealthy. And, well, they are. Houses in Melshire Estates may not be mansions, but residents have enough dough to keep their (humongous) lawns well-manicured and take weekend trips to one of the many shopping malls surrounding their neighborhood, that’s for sure.
Melshire Estates is also on the border of some of the northern suburbs, so it’s also got a bit of a sprawling, quiet feel to it. To be honest, most people don’t even know about this nabe; it’s kinda off the radar. The population is a little on the old side, but that means that it’s super safe and a nice place to raise a family.
Huge lawns, safe, quiet
Pretty boring…you can either go to the park or go to a mall for entertainment
What in the world is Melshire Estates?
Honestly, I haven’t heard much about Melshire Estates. It’s a nabe filled with big houses and big yards. But it’s nothing to write home about. It probably a bunch of wealthy suburban empty nesters. It would be entirely quiet…except its bordered byLBJ and the Tollroad. So as you can imagine, you can hear lots of cars zooming down those highways.
