Queen Village

Queen Village

Overflowing with indie book shops, stylish boutiques, and casual spots to eat, drink, and make merry, Queen Village is a nabe made for a modern day Royal Highness. Home to hip restaurants and cool dives along ever-bustling South Street, Queen Village also ensures her residents get their beauty rest, quickly turning quiet away from the bright lights of the famed strip. This historical nabe’s proximity to Center City hotspots and quaint respites like Bella Vista makes certain that all who enter Queen Village receive royal treatment.

Queen Village Articles and Reviews

Dense, and cute

This is one hell of an urban nabe. When I say urban I mena it like every building has a business in it with apartments up top. There are so many businesses per block in this nabe its a bit ridiculous. But it also makes this perfect for twenty somethings. great housing, and waaaay too many choices for food drinks coffee books random shit you dont need. I love it here.

Long Live the Queen

People love Queen Village. It’s cute, its structures and architecture break out of the row house mold, its snappy and young with all sorts of bars and restaurants and bright lights.

The bright lights attract go-getters and whipper-snappers like moths to a flame, but in a relatively orderly manner. Not fratty like Manayunk, South Street in Queen Village is (mostly) unpretentious fun.

That unpretentious fun does come at a price, however, and for some people, the price is too high for what they’ve got in the bank.

What's awesome

young scene, but also older professionals who can afford the expensive stately homes, near Center City, safe and more neighborhood feeling than Center City

What's not so awesome

When people say “Queens” Village. It’s “Queen,” so lose the ‘s’.

lowkey and neighborhoody

I come here for bars and such on south street. it’s cool how quiet and chill the neighborhood gets once u leave that street though. there are lots of families in this area, there’s blocck parties in the summer, it’s very “neighborhoody,” by the river, and it’s a lot more chill than society hill. i think it’s one of the most lowkey neighborhoods in philly that’s still somehwhat on the cool radar.
