Keep in mind that you probably won’t find hotels for under $100 a night on the island, particularly in peak season, so “affordable” has a different meaning on Martha’s Vineyard than on the mainland. If you really need to go cheap, choose one of the island’s hostels, but don’t expect much in the way of amenities.

My family and I have been going there for years, but we always find new activities every time we return. The first thing I recommend doing when visiting this beautiful location is taking a hike through one of the trails on the island. Not only will you get some exercise and fresh air, but it gives you a chance to take in the sights and sounds of nature around you. If hiking isn't really your style, then maybe try biking or kayaking instead! You can even rent out paddleboards if you want something more relaxing
