On the ground

What it is like to live here, beyond the scores.

Mueller is a master-planned town on the old municipal airport: alleys, a lake loop, a grocery at the center, and a farmers market that actually functions as one. Zillow flags it for families because of that layout and nearby schools such as Kealing and McCallum. The housing is new on purpose — denser than Allandale, more organized than East Cesar Chavez.

Walkability is the pitch, and inside the loop it holds. The edges still dump you onto Airport Boulevard and I-35. If you want a neighborhood that was designed rather than discovered, this is the one. If you want 1920s bungalows and a weird commercial strip, look at Hyde Park or North Loop instead.
