Often mistaken for Jamaica, Queens, Briarwood is one of the borough's most well-kept secrets. Tree-lined streets typify its residential streets while Queens and Parsons Boulevards are replete with shopping and dining options. Centrally located, Briarwood is a very commuter friendly neighborhood with access to the subway, LIRR and the Central Grand Highway.

Quite diverse here, like many of the nearby neighborhoods, leafy and quiet. Briarwood still maintains a pretty low profile, so it manages to be inexpensive and a culturally rich place for low-income or middle-class families to raise kids. Small mom and pop businesses line the streets, snug between detached homes and mid-sized apartment complexes.
