Hunters Point, Queens

By Nabewise

Infomation

While it's sometimes mistaken as part of Long Island City, Hunters Point is really its own nabe! Hunters Point's proximity and easy accessibility to Manhattan is difficult to match–an easy 5-minute trip on the 7 train to Grand Central Station. A burgeoning neighborhood with sweeping views of the East River, the UN, and the Chrysler Building in Manhattan, Hunters Point boasts local attractions as well: its main thoroughfare runs from Vernon Boulevard to 47th Street and is full of shops, restaurants and bars.

Hunter's Point

The graffiti here is ridiculous—there are true masters in that area. The street art you come across even on an average afternoon is impressive. It really gives flavor to the neighborhood.
