Manhattan's Civic Center, a nabe located between TriBeca and the Financial District, is just that: the center of city government. The watchful visitor might recognize a familiar backdrop from an NYC television crime drama. Primarily non residential, the Civic Center is home to City Hall and its park, larger government buildings, and Foley Square. The areas around the civic buildings offers access to several subway lines.

I’m working down in Civic Center as a courthouse stenographer and I like it down there. Sure there are people around in Civic Center but where are you going to get away from that in Manhattan? I live right near a Q train too so the commute is okay and even if I had to take a different train I feel like it probably wouldn’t be a big deal. Anyways, Civic Center is a government place, don’t come down here if you’re looking for a rip-roarin’ good time.bbb
