Infomation

Blue Ridge is tiny, gorgeous, and isolated, and the residents wouldn't have it any other way. This entirely residential nabe is home to one of the strongest communities in Seattle—a community where everyone knows each other. Built on the hills and bluffs bordering Puget Sound, Blue Ridge offers stunning views and lots of creeks to play in during the summer months. The nabe also offers a club, tennis courts, and private beach, among other amenities.

Private Beaches??

Well just in brief, all I’m really going to say is this — too many private beaches. BUT, some of the views in this area are absolutely breathtaking. On a sunny day, the colors are so vibrant, you could easily see the appeal of this area for the upper-crust types that live here. I wouldn’t be surprised if Marky Mark owned a summer house here. I would.

What's awesome

The Houses are both humble and huge. Awesome views and the neighborhood is filled with vibrant colors that make it feel alive

What's not so awesome

mostly private and residential

Communal and embracing, Blue Ridge will keep you around for a while

Blue Ridge has its own private beach. It has a community center complete with tennis courts, a pool, and more. It has strict covenants that you can’t access on their website without being a resident, and houses go up on the market very rarely. So what does all this say about Blue Ridge? It says that this is a well established community, with lots of history, and those who live here do so for very specific reasons of their own, and they love it. It is hard not to love Blue Ridge though. With its stunning views of Puget Sound and wonderful creeks, Blue Ridge has much more to offer than just its strong community focus and its self-imposed isolationism.

Isolated and wonderful

Blue Ridge is one of those nabes you move into when your kids are young, stay until they leave to go to school, and then continue to stay until you pass on to whatever comes after this life. It’s the sort of place you will likely never want to leave. The community here is strong and supportive, and if you happen to buy a house here, you are immediately embraced like an old friend. This is an expensive nabe, and you have to abide by the covenants, but the peace and tranquility, along with the potential for life long friends makes this a very attractive nabe fo a lot of people.
