Mapleton is a residential neighborhood in southwest Brooklyn between Bensonhurst and Borough Park. This heavily populated suburbia is chock full of single and two-family homes with driveways and yards (ooh la la!). Serviced by the N and F Lines, the nabe is just under an hour away from Midtown–not a bad commute for a suburban nabe in central Brooklyn.

Soooooooooooooooooooooo boooooooooring. My God it is like a dentists’ office waiting room living here. I just looked at some rentals in the area, but decided not worth the lower rent. You would have to take a train for like everything but groceries. No art, no music, no good coffee. This place isn’t for me but if I had a family or a bunch of labradoodles I might like living here… i guess
